GREENEVILLE, TN, Sept. 29, 2020: Urban Dynamics LLC plans to acquire The Yates Building at the end of East Depot Street and develop the structure into a mixed-use residential and commercial space. The project, currently named The Depot, is focused on creating an affordable, community-centered, sustainable place for residents to live and play, which will directly result in economic development for downtown Greeneville.

Features and benefits of The Depot include.

  • Affordable, quality living in downtown Greeneville (one- and two-bedroom apartments available)

  • A local business market and public courtyard

  • Sustainable construction which aims to incorporate Zero-Waste Design Guidelines, on-site power generation, and achieve a building lifespan five times the average through architectural design and materials.

“Sustainability for new developments means building something that will last for centuries and provides a Triple Bottom Line by benefiting the economy, society, and the environment,” says Ferris Ellis, Founder of Urban Dynamics LLC. “Developments without it are just boring.”

The Depot is on track to be completed and open for tenants and businesses by Fall 2022. Expected lease options will include:

  • 1-bedroom, 1 bath residential apartments

  • 2-bedroom, 1 bath residential apartments

  • 100-sqft and up commercial market stalls

  • 1,000-sqft dedicated commercial spaces
